Today flick: Mr. Mom--This film starred Michael Keaton, Teri Garr, and Martin Mull. It is about an automobile manufacturing manager who loses his job and his wife goes back into the workforce of advertising. Jack Butler (Keaton) goes through many phases. He learns how to do housework, grocery shopping, laundry, and even becomes obsessed with the elusive storyline on Y & R with whose baby Nikki was carrying. Carolyn (Garr) would gladly trade her new day job for her old one as she finds out how hard it really is in her new environment.
Martin Mull supporting turn as her sleazy boss is funny. Probablly one of the most memorable scenes of the film is when Jack and his family go to an employee's picknic at Ron's (mull)house. I can see it now the Chariot's of Fire theme in the background to a bunch of middle age men running a race that looked like it would have been created by kids.
Anyhow, what do you all think of this comedy from 1983?
