Well I really haven't given much thought to what film I would like to discuss today. Let's try one that I bet a lot of people have seen and definitely would have something to say about. Footloose: Who could not love this film. Ren McCormick and Ariel Shaw, played by Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer, star as teenagers in a small town who fight for the right to have a dance. Seems harmless enough. But Ariel's father is the town minister and will not stand for it. Along the way we get to see Ren teach Willard to dance which is by far the best part of the film. I can't believe how large Chris Penn has become, I hope he is healthy. And really what ever happened to Lori Singer. Other than The Man with One Red Shoe, what popular has she been in. Oh I think she might have been in Fame. Anyway this film is definitely a classic and unfortunately it will probablly be remade some day like they are doing now with Dirty Dancing. What are you thoughts on this dancing classic?

The thought of them not being able to dance always seemed so unbelievable to me. I just didn't believe that could happen. But anyway, I think the movie is entertaining and the end dance sequence cracks me up until my sides hurt.

Devolution here,
Footloose is a great movie, a little far fetched but great nonetheless.

I agree Ali, I could never visualize a plays where they weren't allowed to dance. Maybe in 50's America with Elvis in the beginning. There were some good moments, maybe I will watch it again some time.
