I would like to start a series of posts and get some input on some films that you don't hear much about on this site, but none the less are classics in their own right. Today's film:
Harry and the Hendersons--I am sparked by this film because the man that played Jaques LaFleur was in the 2003 remake of the 1979 classic comedy hit The In-Laws. David Suchet played LaFleur and did an outstanding job of a hunter of big food who turned into a softy. Do you have any particular memories of this film? If so what was your favorite part?
Stay tuned for my next film.....

I loved Harry and the Hendersons!! I love it because he was a vegetarian..and I liked the part where he buried all the animals in the garden, and the mink stole, and he made George Henderson, a kinder person, and a non hunter. That was great!
They could have made a sequel to that one too, I wonder why they didn't?
I actually went to the movies and saw a movie I loved over the weekend..It was Brother Bear. I totally recommend it, there is a great moral to be learned from it, for kids, and it was the first movie in years I have actually wanted to see again. I loved Bob and Doug McKenzie....Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis, I love them doing their beauty, eh?? stuff again!

Hamburger The Motion Picture defintely needs some love! That is a great comic classic of 80s cinema.
Harry and the Hendersons is a great family flick. They don't make family flicks like they did in the 80s. Now days everything is full of violence and/or bad language. Nothing is really family friendly anymore.

Hamburger was funny, just a little too much skin showing. Concept was hilarious. "Okay, who ordered the strawberry shakes?"

Riptide, Mischeif is an excellent movie! It was the first movie that introduced me to Kelly preston and Catherine Mary Stewart.

Devolution here,
Hamburger the motion picture rules!!! One of my all time favorite movies. My movie classic of choice is Meatballs 2. Not even close to Murray's classic, but a great movie none the less.
We are DEVO

Yes, Mischief and the Wild Life should be on DVD dammit! As for Meatballs 2, can't go wrong with Kim Richards and Paul Reubens.

I recently purchased the 1985 move Smooth Talk with Laura Dern, I have only watched the first half hour, but Valley Girl fans should check it out. The Mall scene looks very similar, as well as the parking place at night looking down on the city. Anyone know where this was filmed? Also ran into the Whoopee boys (1986). Can anyone recommend it?
