Back in the 80's, a lot of people confused two young actors...One was Lou Diamond Phillips...who might the other guy be?...I recall an incident on a late night talk show, when one of them mentioned how often he is called by the other guys name...Any suggestions?

Benjamin Bratt maybe? he kind of reminds me of Lou, but i don't remember him in the 80s.

It isn't Benjamin Bratt...But that thought process is in the right direction...Ralph Macchio was a guess by another person...I can only recall that it was another actor of ambiguous ethnicity...
I am still stumped... ...auberguine...
