Ok I cant remember if this is two movies I am mixing together, or not. I am pretty sure its the same though. There are two main characters, maybe three, one a geeky boy the other a nice looking girl both young. I am pretty sure that they mess with some kind of witch board, or do some kind of ritual in some special house or building, that opens up some kind of pit to hell and these small demon like creatures come out after them. Also I think the one geeky boy who did the ritual somehow gets some kind of power because when he wishes for something he gets it, like a new car and a bunch of other things. I dont remeber much else I hope someone can help. You guys have been great so far.

That movie sounds a lot like The Gate. It came out in 1987. Check imdb.com, that'll give you more info.
I think you may be mixing two movies together though. I don't remember anybody wishing anything, I just remember a hole in the backyard that demons come through. Sorry if this isn't enough info. It's been awhile since I have seen that film.

I believe the name of the film where Shelly Long comes back to life is Hello Again. I remember watching that movie alot on cable in the mid to late 80s.

I think your right about me mixing two movies. The Gate is the name of the one movie with the little demons comeing out of the hole in the ground.
So whats the name of the other movie where the geeky kid does some kind of Demonic type ritual in this house/building. Now I think I remeber him doing some kind of ritual in the center of like a pentagram and lights around him like lasers almost. I am pretty sure he got some kind of power from it and could almost like wish for things. I remeber him and some girl would almost sneek in the building through a fence or something. I think that later on what ever he was doing like started to scare her and she wanted him to stop. I hope this helps.
