Anyone else find that the more reviews you write the better you get at describing the film and what you think of it?

I don't like my first few reviews but my latest ones ("Young Einstein" and "Rock & Rule") I feel like I've nailed it, probably because I've seen each of them well over a dozen times now and know them backwards [Big Grin]

Film criticism is one of my fave hobbies (I have over 200 at IMDB). I started about eight years ago after awhile developed a pattern after the guys I liked. Leonard Maltin just kind of jumps into the plot right away cuz he has to do quick reviews. A guy like Ebert rights several paragraphs so he'll talk about some story related to the movie, then jump into the set up, some scene description, then, without giving away the ending, say if he liked the whole film all around. So you definitely work out kinks and find what works for you.
