This is another 80's movie that is often overlooked...I'm not quite sure how I feel about it...Any thoughts? Anyone???

Hey yeah, I always love watching this movie even today when it pops up at 3 in the morning on TNT (Hand-picked for us who work the early hours of the morning and late of night.) I think it was a really cute take from Tony Danza's 'Whos' The Boss' days when the show was on, my favorite part is when he decides to become his daughter's rebel boyfriends' friend..I don't know theres' just something about seeing the kid start to trust him that always makes me smile.

I really enjoyed this movie. I could really relate with Amy Dolenz character I was a big dork with braces and glasses back in high school and I wished that someone make me over. I also wish that I could of related with her after the make over I didn't date much in High school.:( LOL It's ok though I am very well adjusted now!!:)

I wonder if they originally wanted Alyssa Milano for that movie, all I know is that I think it was at that same time when she was playing Ahnuld's daughter in Commando. Its sort of funny to look back at these TV stars and then look at the movies or movie they were in and what they were like. Thats why I think if I was an actor from an early age..I'd play that part until I died. That way I could never be labeled 'type-cast' because I'd always be playing the same role. (This wasn't meant to be some subtle analogy for life, Im just rambling.)

I remember that movie was on t.v. last year. I was jealous of the girl in it but it was funny and soooo cheesy but watching it is like a guilty pleasure lol

Watched She´s Out of Control (1989). It was ok, but not really that funny.
Nice to see Dana Ashbrook and Matthew Perry work prior to Twin Peaks and Friends.

Ami Dolenz is the daughter of Micky (of the Monkees). By the way, Tomi, you're not alone in thinking that it was rather unmemorable. Leonard Maltin in his film review book gave it a star and a half, remarking displeasedly, "This one seems as if it was spit out of a computer."
