Does anyone have a clue what the end of this movie means? Is there some other universe in the mortuary? what are the little dwarfs for?

Maybe i just need to rent the entire series and watch them all. I have only seen P1 and P2.

Phantasm 1 and 2 are definitely a couple of my favorites in the "Don't understand them but like them" category.
Part 3 was even weirder so I didn't like it much. Still haven't seen 4.
