Tom Cruise's bar in Jamaica was called "Cocktails and Dreams" where he and Elisabeth Shue drink happily ever after.

I really like Elisabeth Shue in this movie. She's great. I would have torn up her daddy's check also.

"I'd think twice before ordering the specials if I was you"
SA.. only Tony Scaduto the sales manager would be dumb enough not to tear up Mr. Mooney's check.

Kash had a crash & burn back in 2002 it appears.. the original Cocktails & Dreams at the end if the movie was in New York right?
It is kind of freaky to watch "Cocktail" and see the Twin Towers in so many scenes. Sad really.

I'm really surprised that nobody has mentioned the most amazing thing about this thread..... my guess is that if they look at it again, Valley and Muffy will be the first to post and tell me what I'm talking about... Posted by Valley (Member # 1322) on 27 December, 2010 06:40:
Paul.. I'm so used to circumventimg the word "Cocktail" over the years.. it wasn't until Muffy's post last night that I realized it was no longer a banned word.

Nice change, Paul. It will come in handy when I start my cockfighting thread.
Can I just say that I'm jealous that I didn't think of this original post first? It is well crafted. Bravo, salanda!

Anyone want to pop over to the 70s Board and start an appreciation thread for the work of legendary director Alfred H?

I'm going to need a beer to put out these flames...or a Singapore Sling at the very least!
So we can say Cocktail now? Fantastic, and in honour of this long overdue decree of linguistic emancipation; I present for your viewing pleasure the poem of the last barman...in Italian!
