I feel like I've seen this movie 100 times. It was always on HBO and still is sometimes. It is a true classic. Joyce Hyser is great as Terry Griffith. Top all time cross dressing films... 1. Some Like it Hot 2. Just one of the guys 3. Hedwig 4. Boys Don't Cry

I know it's not an 80s movie, but I never get tired of watching Some Like It Hot. I guess that for the rest of movie history, this will be the definitive 'cross-dressing-musical-comedy-romance' movie!

Is Some Like It Hot about a guy that dress up like a girl to get to know her. She then finds out that she is a guy when she walks in on him using the bathroom??

No, the one that you are thinking of is Batchelor Party, when one of Tom HAnk's geeky friends falls in love with a tall, dark stranger in a red dress.
Some Like It Hot is Jack Lemmon Tony Curtis and Marylin Monroe, set at the time of the St Valentine's Day Massacre in the '20s. The two guys drag up and hide in an all-girl Jazz band to avoid the Mob, after they witness the shooting whilst collecting their car from the ill-fated garage.

Say, speaking of cross-dressing films, remember the one with Chad Lowe (Boys Don't Cry star Hilary Swank's husband, interestingly enough) as a guy who dressed up as a girl so he could be closer with this college girl that he liked? I believe that was an 80s one. It was called One of the Girls or something like that; I'm not sure of the title. I think Corey Haim made one like it later on with Nicole Eggert.

The gender bending in this film was pretty good. I always loved the line where Sherilyn Fenn is checking out Joyce Hyser and compares her dressing to Ralph Macchio.
