Does anyone have any thoughts on the Vietnam War themed show China Beach that ran from '88-'91? Seems to have an interesting premise, good cast and decent production value from what little i've seen. Getting a similar vibe that I get from Tour of Duty, albeit not geared towards action.
Can anyone recommend this show?

I watched most of the episodes they aired here and remember having a crush on Dana Delany Would love to get the complete collection!

Like aTomik, I also watched this and had a crush on Delany. I would give it a try Lemonjello. I'm thinking Delany showed some skin in Exit to Eden.

Thanks for chiming in, fellas. If I can find the complete collection for relative cheap and it has no music rights issues/changes, i'll probably pick it up.

Just checked and sadly they couldnīt get them all:
" The collection includes 302 songs heard during the series. To mark the show's 25th anniversary, a 21-disc collector's set was released October 1, 2013. Music rights long delayed the release on DVD. More than 250 songs were licensed; seventeen could not be, and were either deleted or replaced." (Wiki)
I guess they did their best to get them all but damn i just hate this...

Sorry, but that's a dealbreaker for me.... so no go. I was dumb enough to buy the Reg. 1 season 1 of Tour of Duty with the horrible music changes. Thankfully I learned my lesson fast and got the Reg. 2 unaltered boxset instead.

And thanks for the heads up, Atomik.

Totally respect your attitude, Peter.

So they couldn't get 17 songs on the DVDs? I wonder why. I don't own it, but I heard that the Northern Exposure DVDs have almost none of the original music played when it aired.

It's so frustrating. I seem to remember that the early Reg. 1 dvds of Miami Vice had music replacements and people went ape****, so they had to discontinue the releases, obtain the rights and start over.

Subsequent Miami Vice sets had everything intact, i think.. right ?
(somebody, please say yes)

Rest assured Johnny, all the original music is there
