In The Henderson Kids, Steve and Tamara Henderson are a pair of adolescent siblings who reside in Melbourne with their divorced mother Alice. Their lives are radically altered when their mother is killed by a truck and they are forced to go to live with their uncle Constable Mike Henderson in the small town of Haven Bay. There they befriend a local gang while fighting a relentless businessman who wants the family property, Henderson's Point.
In The Henderson Kids 2, reunited with their father Wal, Steve and Tamara have settled in the bayside suburb of Westport after shifting for two years. But they have to contend with the BMX gang, the Brown Street Boys, Tamara has problems with bully Carol Summers, Steve takes a liking to a Vietnamese girl, Ahn Nguyen and then Wal vanishes, so Steve and Tamara have to find him themselves.
