I had my flight canceled last minute, and I have no idea what to do. The airline sent an email saying there was a "technical issue," and they rebooked me on a flight the next day, but that completely ruined my plans. I had a hotel booked, and now I have to rearrange everything. I’ve heard that passengers can get compensation for this, but I’m not sure how it works. Does anyone know if I’m entitled to anything? What’s the process for claiming compensation?

Yes, you might be entitled to compensation depending on the circumstances. If the cancellation was within the airline’s control and they didn’t notify you at least 14 days in advance, you could claim compensation. The amount varies depending on the flight distance and delay, but it can be up to €600. Many passengers don’t realize they have these rights, and airlines don’t always make it easy to claim. If you’re not sure where to start, I’d recommend checking out this https://flightrefunder.com/. It provides clear information on what you can claim and helps you with the process. Definitely worth looking into!

Flight cancellations are such a headache, especially when they happen at the last minute. It’s good to know that there are ways to get compensation in these cases. I think a lot of people just accept the rebooking without realizing they might be entitled to money back. Definitely something to keep in mind for future trips.
