This one would be my all time favorite one!

Yes Yes Jessie...I have always loved Roland & Curt, or TFF as we know them.....Great choice.....What do you think of Head Over Heels?
Posted by Stitch Groover (Member # 2895) on :
My fave current song right now is "Feels like whoa" by Wes Carr. It has a real 80's feel to it, very pub rock.
Wes Carr was last years Australian Idol. I'd recommend listening to some his other performances too...
"It Doesn't Really Matter" - Platinum blonde (one of my top five all time fav 80's) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4SOnBDe7qs Posted by There'll be no morning for us (Member # 5804) on :
My current favorite song is Shuttin Detroit Down by John Rich.
My all time favorite song is Broken by Seether.

My all time fave is They Don't Care About Us by Michael Jackson
Posted by Stitch Groover (Member # 2895) on :
"They don't care about us" is such a good song. I remember the controversy when it first came out though...

i'm really diggin' the song "Spaceman" by the killers.they just have that 80's feel to them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HlJWgBjd1g Posted by There'll be no morning for us (Member # 5804) on :
Right now it's Have You Ever Loved A Woman by Freddie King. His playing kills me, god
"Psychotic Girl" by The Black Keys and "Midlife Crisis" by Faith No More. Disturbed does a decent cover of "Midlife Crisis" as well but nothing beats the original............

hey man i like the sound of this band.is there cd worth getting? they kinda remind me of a cross between the used and story of the year.
Posted by There'll be no morning for us (Member # 5804) on :
Woman Oh yeah, I definitely think it's worth it. I have it playing non stop at the moment, they're a great band. Totally not something I would normally go for, kinda got into them by accident It's their 3rd cd. I don't think it's quite as good as the second album, Lovers' Requiem but still fab. The person who uploaded that song has uploaded all the songs on the album so ya can have a little listen here to see if you like first: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Luminaire4192&view=videos Posted by pettyfan (Member # 2260) on :

And my song of the moment is Little By Little by Oasis
As im a lorry driver and most of the radio stations i listen to are rubbish,i tend to make a lot of my own c.d's,here's my last 1 Silver Stallion-The Highwaymen Ramble on-Led Zeppelin. Roll me away-Bob Seger. City of angels-Wang Chung. A sort of homecoming(live)-U2. Too good to be true-Tom Petty. Dont let me down-The Beatles. Higher ground-Stevie Wonder. Haitian divorce-Steely Dan. Us and them-Pink Floyd. Kings call-Philip Lynott(Thin lizzy). Four strong winds-Neil Young. Big bird-Eddie Floyd..A great collection that breaks the monotony of long distance driving..

All the songs on Queensryches "Operation Mindcrime" will always be my faves. Also the best heavy rock band of the 80's in my opinion.

Nice to see another hard rock fan. All Queensryche albums from ´83 s/t ep to ´94 Promised Land rock! Operation Mindcrime is the ultimate classic.

I like White Lies Bigger than us. But believe it or not my favorite is a rap song, his name is Saigon and he actually raps like things used to be with social commentary and without the bling/Soulja boy crap.

You've been watching too much Vacation. I can't blame you though. It's one of my all time faves.
If I ever go on a road trip through the states, some crucial listening will be Holiday Road and Dancing Across the USA. I went on a road trip through Europe recently and I was mega bugged that the bus driver never put on Holiday Road. I know it sounds petty but it really ate at me, even though, how was he to know that I wanted to listen to it.

I'm loving this song since I heard it......I always seem to hear a song love it and it's Spoon........it sounds so 80s to me.....nice!
That was a good song, Muffy. And the one Ronnie picked as well. Is that a new song?
Posted by Muffy Tepperman (Member # 1551) on :
The Spoon song is fairly new..yes! I really don't know alot of new stuff and most of what I hear i'll pick up from a tv show or movie. Spoon always seem to be played in tv shows. haha

I actually like alot of songs from this band. They are a really good alternative band. But this would have to be my fav at the moment.
Posted by JAY LEE (Member # 6345) on :
Hey val..no I hadn't seen that trailer yet? That's great because a lot of people don't know of them!
It's a terrific song, a good friend turned me on o their music. Their last cd was superb! Another fave of mine, by them is Knee High.
Posted by Pyro (Member # 7658) on :
Still in more of a 90's mood as of late..here's one that i listen to alot and is probably one of my favorite songs by this band.
p.s. I think this is the song I want played at my funeral.
try listening to Sarah Maclauchlin....very haunting voice and i think if you scan through her songs you may like some of them

Kimbra - Cameo Lover
Kimbra is a New Zealander who came here to Australia to make her name. After providing supporting vocals in Gotye's #1 hit song "Somebody that I used to know", she has capitalised on her popularity to release her debut album "Vows".
Cameo Lover is the latest single, and has won quite a few songwriting awards around the world
You don't need to be on drugs to enjoy this...though I've heard it helps, lol. This group makes some of the most tripped out psychedelic trance music you'll ever hear. Right up there with Paul Oakenfold and Tangerine Dream IMO :

Hey pyro.. I saw Infected Mushroom at The House of Blues on one of my Chicago adventures a few years back. It was quite entertaining and I was totally lucid. Infected Mushrooms lay down a hypnotic vibe.
Posted by Helen_S (Member # 5804) on :
Yeah, you can call me a mushy sentimental wuss now . But I'm feeling pretty chill and laid back, so I'm really liking this song right now. It's really the only song I like by Debbie.

Yeah I like Smash despite the dullness of Katharine Mcphee.

Shiny Toy Guns is a good band Ronnie. I got into them a couple years ago after hearing the song "Ghost Town" and went out and bought the Season of Poison record. So yeah, nice picks=).
