Wow, I had no idea those groups were still on the sidelines, that's surprising.
Good for RUN DMC, I remember when they were complaining about what kind of group they were in the video for King of Rock way back in 85, with a HOF parody with Bud Mellman, now they made it come true. I really think Hip Hop should have it's own hall of fame though.

Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Blue Öyster Cult & Iron Maiden aren't in either.
The fact that Madonna was inducted on her first year of eligibility shows you how much of a joke that place is.

I respect Run-DMC but at the same time how can you let them in when true bands like the ones Sam and j2me mentioned are being denied yearly?

That's exactly my feeling too. No problems with anybody that's in the HOF I feel that they are all worthy. I just feel that some of them have got in earlier than they should have thus denying other acts that are worthy their day in the sun.
