I watched an HGTV special the other day, and I loved it.
My photos of my Christmas Decorations are on the HGTV website.
Anyway....they did a special where all the designers were showing their homes off, and showing what they do for Christmas with their friends.
I do a cookie exchange. But, last year when I did it...I just filled all the bags up with cookies, and fudge and candy ..on my own, while everyone was getting makeovers. This year I am stealing the idea of one of the designers on HGTV. He had a cookie exchange...everyone brings a dozen cookies, and everyone takes a dozen. So, I am doing a whole table display of cookies, and I bought little goodie sacks today, and everyone will get one, and fill their own sack with cookies.
I made some gift baskets tonight. We are going to play Christmas Bingo.
I am trying to get my shopping done. I think this year has been hard to figure out what to buy people. I just ordered my brother a 2009 calendar...that I got it personalized with pictures of him and our family...and each month I tried to get a picture that worked with the season. I hope it turns out cool.

I went to my work Christmas party last Friday...very fun. I don't drink too often anymore, as it's not fair for my two year old son to deal with MY hangovers. However, he was at Nana and Papa's for the night...so for me that meant.....beers....wine.....jello shooters....and some milky shooter thingys.......partied til 4 AM, and quite seedy the next day. Well worth it...I think.

We had our big xmas party in mid November which I didn't go to coz I didn't want to socialise with those jerks, and my computer department is having an xmas barbeque on Saturday night which I'm not going to coz I don't want to socialise with those jerks!

Never ever attend work parties. You see the people you work with in a different light after a few pints and then Monday morning it's just weird. Not for me at all...

we use to have christmas parties the first few years i worked at my place but we stopped so for the last 5 years we just exchanged gifts at work and left early the day before no biggie it was a small company and the workers had to drive too far after drinking so they just stopped it completely which i didn't care about myself they were boring anyways lol dee

Yeah, it's not so bad in a small group where you kinda are friends already, but in a big place like mine, no way hose!!!

Yeah...we're a smaller group of 20 or so..and not everyone shows up, so generally around 15-20 including spouses...we're all pretty good friends, so it basically turns into a big kitchen party, drinks, guitars....just another excuse to get together. We also stopped exchanging gifts and put the money towards sponsoring a family. Didn't make sense to exchange gifts anymore...if I wanted something I could buy for $10 to $15...I'd just go buy it myself.

My office Christmas parties are great. There are only three of us! So we bring in tons of food and all sit at my desk and laugh at youtube videos and stuff our faces!

Our store parties of the past have been classic. But this year we have a Scrooge for a boss and no party. Oh well. Some of us will probably go out to dinner together anyways.....

My husband's business had a party last year, and they paid for everyone to spend the night at the hotel that they had their party at, then they paid for everyone to have a Christmas Brunch together the next day.
It was really nice.

Any time 80's...nothin' better than a good ol' Nova Scotia kitchen party...not unheard of to have 3 - 4 guitars, a fiddle...and beers a plenty...the more the merrier. I've had 30 people cramed into my kitchen...

As far as work goes, we always have a year end x-mas party, but I'm getting worried there won't be one this year as nothing is announced yet.

I went to a couple office parties but they sucked. Picture a couple of hundred people hanging out in their on little "clicks" and ignoring everyone else. BORING... I think WE should have a Xmas party here on the rewind!
