I love While you were sleeping. When my friend and I watched it at the cinema, I experienced something I've never come across before or since - the whole audience applauded coz it was such a happy and romantic ending!

Liar's Moon, Kramer Vs. Kramer, and On Golden Pond.
I love the movie "It Could Happen to You". That's a movie I watch if I want to feel good about life. I love Bridget Fonda's apartment in that movie, and I liked that she didn't care about the money...all she cared about was living a good life, and if she had some Hellman's mayonaise.

I really dont enjoy soppy movies. the only tear jerkers I enjoy are TITANIC, TERMS OF ENDEARMENT and ICE CASTLES.

This is weird, but Frankie and Johnny was on the other night, I haven't seen it in years...I like it alot. I have been trying to think of a name for our new Women's Club that I am starting....and I thought about calling it "CHICKS", and then have the letters in CHICKs all mean something, and I couldn't think of anything...so I just turned the tv on the other night, and Johnny said to Frankie, I thought we were "Kindred Spirits", and I thought OMG! That would be the last 2 letters of CHICKS, so I could have it stand for "Connecting Kindred Spirits", because that's what we plan to do. It will be a social club, for women to hang out and goof around. Isn't that weird? I am thinking of using a little chicken with lipstick on it, as our Logo and making up T-shirts for it.
What do you guys think?

Ever After with Drew Barrymore and Mask with Cher & Eric Stoltz

For me, The color purple, as well as being one of my favourite films of all time, is one of the best tear-jerkers. You know the whole time how it'll end, but you still cry! Also, the part at the end of The sixth sense where Cole and his mum are talking about his 'secret' chokes me - guess it's because I'm a Mum. Toni Collette was awesome in that movie.

Soppy, ha. Anything my wife watches ! Heres the ironic part, My name is Johnny and hers is Frankie, for real. Her dads name is Frank and I guess he wanted a son but got her. People say that cant be, like the movie and the Elvis song? I say yep, like the movie. Strange how it worked out like that.

The Family Man with Nicolas Cage....not too soppy, but has it's moments. Great movie all around IMO.

Not really into soppy stuff. But Less Than Zero tugs at my heartstrings everytime. Both because I can relate to the story on a personal level, and because Thomas Newmans score is one of the best and most moving scores ever composed. Pure Brilliance!

Basically, the likes are those where the storyline includes a level of humour, or some kind of sub-plot that isn't central to the soppiness. And the dislikes are basically when people are just sitting around waiting for someone to die, or get divorced, or realise what every viewer realised before the end of the opening credits.
As a result, I have to place Sleepless In Seattle as well made, but borderline.
