I was looking for a CD that Cindymancini made me...of Halloween Music, and I looked through everything I have...and I can't believe how many movies I have. I have a stack of stuff I haven't even seen yet, and I keep trying to figure out how I am ever going to watch them...and then I think...how did I ever have time to watch that many movies, and over and over tons of times...it seemed like when I was younger I watched 50 times the amount of movies I see now..but I was even more busy back then...so I have no idea how I ever watch anything any more...Plus I use to watch TV all the time. Now I never do. I actually went to bed early last night, because I was so tired from the weekend, and doing so much, and there was abolutely nothing on TV. I am so sick of waking up at 2am and seeing "Paid programming" on every channel. I think I use to watch way more movies on TV at night and on HBO. On Saturday night I actually made popcorn and started watching Halloween...then my DVD started skipping...but I think it's my DVD player...which is brand new...the whole tv is only a few months old. That drives me crazy...because you spend a ton of money on Tvs...and the DVD player that's built in to them...they skip. Anyone else have that problem? I have VHS tapes that are 20 years old...that play perfect.

I'm the same way....I keep on buying new DVDs like crazy, in the meantime, I have a huge stack that I didn't even watch yet. All in good time I guess.

i am the same way i have a 13 hour ric flair dvd on the way i dont know how i amgoing to watch this plus on top of that i have a 2 hour ac/dc dvd comming and if that was not enough i have paul stasnleys new dvd on the way plus if thasts not enough i will have what i get for this christmas i realy dont know how i am going to find time to watch them

Just found out that P. Stanley live dvd is released. IŽll have to buy it too. His latest solo cd was fantastic.

I can totally relate to having more things to watch than spare time. It's really a challenge for me to watch a complete movie undisturbed per night. The phone rings, doing cooking, checking Rewind and other surfing always seems to break the concentration. I have tons of movies that are half watched.

It's just life...back in the day, there was all the time in the world to just hang out and watch movies...that was the crux of my existence. Now it's like work 40 hours, do housework, pay bills, go for groceries, go to Wal-Mart, go to family events, take care of yourself...there simply aren't enough hours in the day!! I feel your pain!

Last night I was able to watch Halloween with a friend. While watching the movie, I sat with a razor knife to open all the movies I still had in plastic....I'd be embarrassed to show you the pile of plastic I accumulated. I always tell myself that when my son is older, I'll have all my favorite movies to enjoy. I often feel very guilty about the amount of dvds / cds I've accumulated, but am not too hard on myself. I've started an "allowance" system to keep things in check...it's my "buy anything you want" money. As well....when I was younger, I used to spend tons of money on booze and going out to clubs, but that part of my life has certainly changed...I still like to have a few drinks, mind you, but the all night benders just don't happen anymore....can't look after young kids with a bad hangover...too many wasted Sunday mornings. Some of our stores have a lot of multipacks of DVDs. For example, I paid $20 for a pack containing Nurse Betty, Oh Brother Where art thou, Being John Malkovich and Donnie Darko. Deals like that make it impossible to say no, and just make my unwatched pile higher and higher!

wow, kevdug said everything I would have said!
Now that I'm a mommy I hardly ever go out and so I dont feel guilty if I spend say $50 a month on DVDS and buy a couple of bottles of wine. That is for my "Me Time", and its a lot cheaper than if I was going to clubs/bars/whatever.
But I'm finding the older I get I have NO attention span. I'll put movies on and start dusting or cooking or something. I call it "multi-tasking" but, really, it's not too cool when its actually a movie I've never seen before. I usually pop in something like CATS EYE or CREEPSHOW cuz I can actually watch a segment, pause and clean, watch a segment, pause and cook....
I also have a pile of movies I've bought on sale that I havent watched yet. Its a SMALL pile, but it's there. My husband would die if he knew I was still buying new ones when there are ones in the house I haven't seen yet!
