Last weekend was so much fun, because I felt like a kid again, hanging with my girlfriends. We decided we need to do that more often.
Next Friday we are going to:
The Forest of Fear
It's a Haunted Hayride near me, then we are ordering pizzas, soaking in my hot tub, everyone is staying over night here, and we are going to watch "Slumber Party Massacre".
If Friday Night Videos were on, it would be just like being in the 80's. I am so glad that I am getting to do all this stuff again.
What do you guys do on Friday nights now? And how does it compare to what you were doing in the 80's?

Usually on Friday nights I'm getting ready for work the next day, as my work week starts on a Saturday and finished Wednesday. But I'm on vacation for two weeks right now, on Friday night my partner and I went to Melbourne to visit some of his friends and go to a couple of doctors appointments. Next Friday we are going to the Show, which I guess is what most of you would call a carnival... it has all the usual things, like rides, sideshows, showbags, lots of food (fairy floss and Dagwood Dogs yum!) I've entered a few photo's into this years competition, I've never entered before, so it's all a bit exciting!
Friday's in the 80's... well Friday was traditional fish'n'chip night in our family, we'd have fish, chips, potato cakes, chicken nuggets, dim sims etc, all topped off with a chocolate Big M milk. During high school, Friday night was the only night I'd take off from homework, so I got to watch TV, over the years I watched Shadowchasers (does anyone remember that) and in the later 80's it was Full House.

"Horror Night at the Bed & Breakfast"
October had finally arrived and with Halloween just around the corner, Isis decided it would be fun to invite her girlfriends over for a sleepover. The gorgeous fall night started with everyone enjoying the much anticipated "Forest of Fear" hayride, followed by an evening of pizza, soaking in the hot tub, and finally nothing could make an October sleepover more complete than finishing the night off with the 80's horror classic "Slumber Party Massacre".
The night just seemed so perfect, but what Isis didn't realize was that one of her old girlfriends was extremely jealous of all her new friends. And the events of tonight had given her a few too many ideas on how to rectify the situation.
Oh and if anyone is looking for Isis, she has decided to soak in her hot tub a little longer after such a 'perfect' night.
The End?
OK, all that just brings me to my bigger question. Has anyone ever thought about writing, filming, or even starring in their own horror movie?

First, congrats on the 4000, Valley!
When I was in early high school, my friends and I would make up local versions of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, like...
The Wangaratta Whippersnipper Massacre The Benalla Bamix Massacre The Lavington Lawnmower Massacre
Well, it was funny when we were 15....

Great story Valley....that would be a cool little movie. When I was a kid we would re-enact scenes from 80's movies, but never recorded anything. Wish we had.

Great idea.
I think if we all got together we could make a major Blockbuster movie.
Next weekend I am going to a resort...it is one of my favorite places to go...they are having an Autumfest.
I plan to do the Alpine Slide. They are having a huge outdoor Autumnfest Buffet. I can't wait.
Fall seems to be coming along slowly this year...the leaves haven't really started to change much yet. I hope that we get some good colors. I can't wait to take pictures.
I think a movie at a place like this would be cool.
We should all meet there....and make our own movie.
Would that be really awesome? If everyone from the Rewind picked a place, for a weekend to meet and we had a big Rewind Convention. People do that all the time...when they have their own high school reunions, everyone plans to meet somewhere....and most people have moved away...so I think it would be so cool to pick a place and a weekend and everyone be responsible for getting themselves there...
That would just be a crazy scene...
who wants to go?

I would love that, just wished some more Rewinders lived closer like in Vermont or something. You know what? I have yet to meet a fellow Rewinder in the flesh and I would really like to change that someday.
Just reading everyone's friday night experience, the eating/takeout thing really makes it great. Being almost middle age, Fridays just don't seem as euphoric or fun like they used to. Back in the day I was a huge fan of Friday night videos, in canada we had Good rocking tonight w/Stu Jeffries as well. The school dances were a big thing too, in my ealier HS years, the dances were almost similar to the one in Sixteen Candles.

Yeah...we went to dances and rollerskating on Friday nights.
It is funny...but for years now-to me-...Friday nights seem like any night of the week.
I remember getting Pizzas and sleeping over at my friends or having them at my house.
From the time I was in 4th grade, up through high school, I always had friends at my house-on Friday night-we would stay up late and watch Benny Hill.
In the summer time, we always walked downtown. Everyone always cruised town on Friday nights.
Everyone was out having fun and waving and beeping the horn.
I want to get back to looking forward to Friday nights.
I usually have people here for the weekend now.
I had guests this weekend. That kind of helps for me.
I got a home today for 2 of my kitties. They were the sweetiest couple. They want Boo, but they will send me pictures of him as he grows up. I am so happy. If I can get a hold of the mom....I am taking her immediately to get spayed.
I am leaving in an hour to go see that movie "Eagle Eye" my son wants to go, we are going to meet up with his friend and his Dad. So, I hope I like it....I am going to find out why they haven't got the movie "Nights in Rodanthe"....I really want to see it at the theaters.

I've been saying for years Isis, that everyone is welcome at my place anytime!
