I'd say my #1 would still have to be the Rocky Balboa character from Rocky 1 & 2.

my 80s icon was robert mccall (edward woodward) from the equalizer,
in my opinion the greatest show of all time.

I loved the Equalizer. I'm still hoping for the complete series on DVD- maybe this year my hubby will remember?!
Posted by Crash (Member # 7484) on :
Edward Woodward was fantastic when he'd step out of the shadows and say, "My name is Robert McCall. I'm the man you called..." Some of the folks involved in the show went on to do "24."
Posted by Pittsburghgirl (Member # 7514) on :
Crash, I never watched an episode of 24. My husband watched every season. Maybe sometime through Netflix.

As a teen back in the '80's, I thought Samantha Fox was gorgeous; I remember her music & pics. well - though mainly her pics.! I think she started my life-long fascination for women who are all natural
Re: male role models, I always wanted to be "Clint Eastwood" or Robert McCall (Ed Woodward) from "The Equalizer":
I remember seeing the Equalizer TV series & being extremely impressed by how cool & collected McCall was in almost any given situation.
Re: Clint, back in the '80's I didn't watch a lot of movies, but do remember "Sudden Impact" on VHS tape - I was especially impressed by the early scene in the coffee shop, when Clint stopped the robbers who had taken the shop hostage.
