Iīm in a Meat Loaf mode right now. Bought the excellent Blind Before I Stop (1986) cd and Bad Attitude (1984) lp few years back but recently got more.
Bought the classic Bat Out of Hell (1977) plus Dead Ringer (1981), Midnight at the Lost and Found (1983) and Bat Out of Hell II: Back in to Hell (1993) albums. And yes, i also got the Jim Steinman cd Bad for Good (1981) which was supposed to be the second Meat Loaf record but he was unable to sing at that time.
I also purchased The Hits Out of Hell (1984) video collection which is great.
I know that he just released new album Braver than We Are and that his voice is shot but thatīs another story.
I also like Meat Loaf as an actor, heīs always so energetic. Thereīs the classic Rocky Horror Picture Show performance and i watched Roadie (1980) while the site was down and bought the soundtrack lp. Itīs fun stuff.

Bat Out of Hell is a classic. After that he did some interesting stuff but none of it as focused as the first effort. Never seen Roadie...

I have been searching for Roadie in the thrift stores. I am hoping it pops up soon. I have also been searching for Pure Country, starring George Strait. Although I am not really a country fan, I'd like to see it. I did like Urban Cowboy, and that soundtrack is awesome.

Love Meatloaf aTomik. I like to torch it in the microwave as a leftover with salt and pepper and lots of ketchup. mmmm delicious.

Seriously though, I love the Bat Out of Hell album. It was etched into my brain at a very young age. Sometime in the mid or late seventies, dad had a faded orange '59 chevy stepside pickup with a souped up 396 putting the power to the pavement. One day we had been fishing and the boat was hooked to the truck and we were heading home and a TransAm came alongside us and my dad raced it and pulled away while pulling a boat! It was totally awesome! That thing was a beast. He had 3 8 tracks that he always played, Creedance, Dr Hook and Meatloaf. Its surprising that it never got old, still love hearing Meatloaf to this day.

I've always quite enjoyed Meat Loaf's songs but don't actually own any of them,my father's got one of his greatest hits Cds which I listened to sometime back while watching over his house when he went on holiday.
I've got this horror film with him in called Wishcraft from 2002 and it's actually not a bad little movie and I thought Mr Loaf was pretty good fun in it,it's worth checking out!
Not sure if i've asked this before but has anyone ever seen Black Dog with him and Patrick Swayze in and if so is that worth a watch?

I wonder what the guy thought being raced by someone pulling a boat I bet he was lost for words.
