Eddie Van Halen has a guitar solo in Beat it, and he is actually in the video. I never knew that. My son told me that. I need to watch the video again to see him...my son said you see him for about 5 seconds....but that is pretty cool.

There's also a song on the Thriller album that Janet sang back up vocals...I can't remember which one. Apparently, they started with three back up singers, but ended up cutting the others out....

It was Michael Jackson who also convinced Queen to release Another One Bites a Dust as a single which they were reluctant to do. Turned out to have massive crossover success with it being #1 on the pop and R&B charts.

Duckie knows EVERYTHING.....and he is ever so dreamy [Wink]

Literally though....he is the oracle when it comes to music...especially 70's and 80's rock.

So....is this really Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson singing State of Shock?

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=o9_BwMtPeWU&feature=related

Doesn't Freddie Mercury look completely different without his moustache?

"State of Shock" was co-written by both of them. I think when Michael decided to record/release this Freddie was too busy, so he asked Mick Jagger instead.

Have a listen:

State of Shock - Jacko & Jagger

It sounds a lot better with Michael & Freddie.
