My husband is getting tickets to see GWAR. I used to want to see them when I was YOUNGER, now at 37 I feel I may be too old to enjoy the GWAR experience.
Has anyone ever seen them live?

not recently, but bring a raincoat. i haven't heard any of the new music but if the crowd is into it you'll have fun.
i saw them once in '91 at a small club. this little band called Soundgarden was the opening band. epic night.

I've saw them twice and if you get close like xchazx said bring a raincoat or either wear old clothes. Their shows are more known for the theatrics rather than the music. The last time we saw them they had a Paris Hilton looking blow up doll and they sawed into it with a chainsaw drenching the first few rows with fake fluids. Definitely not for kids.........

Yes, and I got squirted on my a gigantic inflatable ****! Funniest part about the whole show was that they came on stage at about 2:00 in the afternoon, on a bright and sunny day. Nice wholesome family fun on a saturday afternoon w/ GWARRRR
