I agree about the first two songs listed. They seem to greater airplay now than they did the 80's!
I am not a fan of Journey, but I actually did like the song. I found amusing that the song received new airplay after it was used in the final episode of "The Sopranos"!
As for the B-52's song, that song (IMHO) is one of the most overrated songs of the 80's. Yet it gets a lot of airplay. BTW, the song is one of the most requested songs in karaoke bars.

I actually don't mind that the biggest hits of the 80's are overplayed for 3 reasons.... 1) If it is a song I like, (which it probably will be) I can listen to it over and over. 2) It keeps the 80's alive. 3) It introduces this great music to the kids today.

What about Culture Club they always get played, the main one being do you really want to hurt me. Plus Duran Duran's Rio always get played.
I don't know if the kids of today really appricae 80's music at all. I am 25 and I love the decade big time, but, when I play the music I like which is all 80's I get the micky taken out of me. I often get told by people alot older than me that I do not come across as 'my age', but older because of how I see life. I feel that alot of young adults want everyting given to them on a plate, instead of having to get up and work for it yourself. If I am being to harsh then say.
