Jeff Healey of the Jeff Healey Band died on Sunday March 2, in a Toronto hospital from cancer. He is well known for his performance of "Angel Eyes" and had a bit part in the Swayze film "Roadhouse". He is survived by his wife Christie and two children. So sad, he was only 41. He had had cancer since he was 1.

I never realized that his blindness was caused by cancer; always assumed it was either something he was born with. Might have to check out some of his jazz stuff. The guy could really play a mean guitar.

Being from Canada, we were exposed to Jeff Healy a lot. He was a great guitarist, just such a shame that he had so many hardships and he had to leave us at such an early age. But in retrospect, he did more with his talent than tons of others without handicaps. RIP.
