Arsenio was the host from 88-91. Four good shows. We haven't seen him since.

the current vmas are terrible just goes to show that in the 80s, pop music was done by creative professionals who loved music, and handled it with the right balance of fun and work ethics 20 yrs ago, duran duran. now - the black eyed peas. lords of plaigarism. terrible.

I never ususally remember who hosts anything for any kind of music awards show. I do remember whenever Billy Crystal hosted for the Oscars. He is always hilarious. I am looking forward to Ellen DeGeneres hosting this Oscars next year.

No, he didn't he was only on once and then was thrown off for cursing and using tasteless language, I am happy to say that I saw it happen before the censors got to it.
