...Electric Blue, by Icehouse. It had been forever since I'd heard it! It was a good song, but I don't seem to have it on any of my 80s compilations. Anyone else like it?

Yah great song. I always hear it on satellite radio, but they seldom play it on the local 80s station...

Great song. Icehouse made history with that album, it was the first time an Australian artist had 6 consecutive Top 10 hits on the Aussie charts from the one album.a
Did you know Icehouse were originally called "Flowers"? Icehouse was a song on their first album and they later changed their name to that!

The best Icehouse song is "Great Southern Land". I've never been to Australia, but this song makes me want to go there.
What do our Aussie Rewinders think of this song?
Sincerely,
John Kilduff

Yeah that's a good song. I used to drink Icehouse in high school because it was cheap.

"Great Southern Land" is not one of my favorite Icehouse songs, but it has become a bit of an anthem. My all time fave Icehouse song is "Miss Divine" from the album "Code Blue" which was released in very late 1989.

I have the early, early Icehouse too, when they were a euro synth act. the singer really grew a long mullet for Electric Blue.
