OMG! I was listening to the radio and this song comes on, and I use to love it!! I hadn't heard it in forever...but don't ya love it when you hear a song you had forgotten, and you wonder how you got through life all that time without this song...so this song...if I would have heard it when I was driving back in the 80's, I would have pulled over, to try and get the name of the person who sang it, so I could run out and immediately buy the 45 record. Now, I am going to go look for it on Ebay or anywhere I can find it...but this song is exactly why I post the lyrics...I would never have known this song by the title or the artist...but when I heard the words...I freaked out.
I love it!!
Four o'clock, I've been walkin' all night. It's the time I always think of you. If you could only see through my eyes, Then you'd know just what I'm goin' through. Here am I, I'm taking a chance, In running around with stars in my eyes. Here I am, I'm looking for you, Wondering why do I feel so blue.
I'm dreamin', dreamin' of me and you. Oh I'm dreamin', dreamin' will see me through. Never let any chances pass me by, I'm gonna dream you right into my life. Yeah, dream you right into my life. Dreamin', dreamin' will see me through. Woman, you'd better believe that I'm dreamin' you into my life.
Five o'clock, still walkin' around. I call you up, but you just bring me down. I guess you'd say I'm getting nowhere. But in my dreams you always come around.
Here am I, I'm taking a chance, I'm walkin' on air, flyin' so high. Here am I, facin' the truth, There's no other way, I'll ever make you mine.
I'm dreamin', dreamin' of me and you. Oh I'm dreamin', dreamin' will see me through. Never let any chances pass me by, I'm gonna dream you right into my life. Yeah, dream you right into my life. Dreamin', dreamin' will see me through. Woman, you'd better believe that I'll be dreamin' you into my life.
Woman, you've got to believe me, woman. Oh, woman, you've got to believe me, woman. I'll be dreamin' you into my life. You've got to believe me, woman. Woman, oh woman, you got to believe me. I'll be forever dreamin' you into my life.

Cliff was having one of his 'rebirths' when this came out, and unusually for him, this rebirth gave him some US success at the same time.
For those that don't know, Cliff Richard is a living legend in the UK, he's been having hits since the 50's and he still has hits today!
If you liked this one, you might like "We Don't Talk Anymore" from the same time.

I don't know this song, but is it from around the same era as "Wired for Sound?". That, along with 1988's "Some People" and 1987's "Living Doll" (with the Young Ones) are my faves of his. Are you guys in the US familiar with the Young Ones?

Logan5-this is so bizarre...that song..."We don't Talk anymore" was on the radio this morning, and I thought..wow..I love that song too, so I checked to see who it was by...and I was shocked it was Cliff Richard...I don't remember him at all...but I love both of those songs. Isn't that so weird...it was on this morning...I have it written down on paper...so I could come post about it!

Cliff also recorded the duet "Suddenly" with Olivia Newton-John for "Xanadu" at around the same time. That period was definitely his most successful in the US. Over here he just keeps going and going.

That is so cool...I never knew that either, I love that song. I have been trying to find a 45 record of "Dreamin", but it is almost impossible, and everything listed on Ebay is under the U.K.
I can't believe I didn't ever know his name, that blows me away, it is weird to "Suddenly" find out now.
