Could be a good one to go and see

The closest they are playing to me is Hershey, PA and it's the day before the 4th of July, which means it will be impossible to get a hotel room close to the concert. The Hershey/Harrisburg area hotels are always booked up for conventions.

Yeah, I heard they are doing some shows with Journey, some without.
(I once went to Hershey, PA for 4th of July and stayed in a Howard Johnsons. Was pretty cheap too)
Just a note: JOURNEy does not have its original singer anymore.

I just might have to go to that July 3rd concert. I just wrote the number down, I am going to ask some friends if they wanna go too. My son would freak out, he loves both groups. I live close enough to drive to Hershey and back!! Yippee!!!! Thanks for posting that link!

I wanna go to the Atlantic City show, even though there are other shows closer than me. The "concert halls" they use for those Atlantic City shows are pretty small so you really can get up near the stage if you get a standing room ticket. Even with seats though the place is so small that there's no such thing as a bad seat.

the closest they're coming to me as of now is Minneapolis which is 450 miles away. It looks like a cool tour but not one that I'd travel that far to see. Will have to keep looking and see if they come any closer.

Journey formed in 1973 with former Santana member Gregg Rolie on keyboards and vocals. They started off more as a jazz influenced rock group. It wasn't until 1978 when Steve Perry joined the group as lead vocalist that they became more of the group that we're all familliar with. Rolie remained with the band on keyboards until 1981 when he was replaced by Jonathan Cain.

you can look at the tour dates at defleppard.com from what I saw on TV the new singer for Journey sounds pretty close to Perry

I saw Journey with the lead singer they have now, and he sounded great...cause I think Steve Perry really sounds unique, so I thought he's be hard to compare to, but they were great. I love Journey they are one of my all time favorite bands.
