I just saw them use this song in a T.G.I Fridays commercial.
I actually have heard quit a few 80's songs being used again in advertising, and I like it, because it just goes to show how those songs work no matter when they are used, they are still always as cool as they use to be.

Another reason is because that people who work in advertising agencies happened to grow up during the 80's. So, the music they grew up with is what they are thinking about when they're coming up with ideas.

Pardon my ignorance, but are you talking about the band Scorpion? They sang "Wind of Change" hey? I love that song...if indeed we are talking about the same band.

I actually dont like when they use the songs we used to rock out to in commercials. It's cheesy to me.
Incidentally, Paul McCartney who had a fit a few years back when they used THE BEATLES' Revolution in a sneaker ad is now selling the rights wo all his music for commercials. What a hypocrite.
