I actually liked ACCEPT and never thought they got enough credit. Sort of reminded me of a Poor Man's JUDAS PRIEST.
I had the tape with Balls To The Wall on it (cant remember album title) but every song on there was pretty good.
I also remember the Balls To the Wall video being really cheesy and unintentionally funny (hey...what '80s metal video ISNT????)
Does anyone know if ACCEPT is still kickin it?

Oh my god, I had that album and I remember the video, almost vividly. I'd say rather than a poor man's Judas Priest, more like the German version of Judas Priest. I think you can still fiind Accept stuff, including a DVD of some sort that I remember (hopefully corretly) seeing at a Tower Records.

Accept kicked butt.

Udo Dirkschneider was a menace on vocals.

Balls to the Wall came off the Balls to the Wall album

Oh that just seems so OBVIOUS now! That ths song Balls To The Wall would be on an album called...Balls To The Wall................

This must have been a cassette I stole/ borrowed form someone and never gave back because I didnt have the plastic case or the liner notes...just the tape.

Have any of you read the book ENCYCLOPEDIA OF HEAVY METAL? My friend got it for Christmas and so I ordered it for another friend for Christmas. A great gift for any metalhead in your life. They are pretty thorough...they have bands in there like ACCEPT that arent as mainstream as stuff like say METALLICA and MOTLEY CRUE. (My friend noted that one one-hit-wonder metal act was missing,.,,,,oh well.....)You can probably find a copy on www.half.com

Hell yes...I remember crankin Balls To The Wall in my car back in my high school years and driving by my parents friends who reeled in horror at the sound that was blaring out of my car [Wink]

Udo Dirkschneider will re-form with ACCEPT this year (its their 25th anniversary) for select shows, but who knows where. They aren't reuniting, his band UDO is his primary occupation now, but Accept will be playing shows. Probably only in Europe tho.

I just remember seeing them on MTV for the first time, I didn't think their video was cheezy at all, i thought it was uniquely METAL. You want cheezy? Watch a freakin video from MAN-O-WAR (hahahaha)

I saw Balls To The Wall and said "Who is that Angry, Fat Growling Dude on Vocals!". He was like a human version of a PUG dog, and that voice was as unique as Rob Halfords.

Dude actually had a heart attack a couple years ago...

Wow, the singer of Accept now looks like a heavy metal version of Rodney Dangerfield. Guess he gets no respect either. Yeah, I have a few Accept tapes, kind of cool stuff that I used to crank in my basement. Bands like this and Saxon kind of were overshadowed by Priest and Maiden. I remember liking some other songs of theirs like Restless and Wild.
