Ok, the song is by Charlie Sexton and is called "Beat's So Lonely" there is only a snippet of the end of the song (and instrumental part and the refrain "so lonely..) I think the scene is during a party or maybe while someone is driving.
I THINK it might be "Some Kind of Wonderful" but I'm not positive.
Anyone?

yes, it was SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL. that song is played during the party scene where amanda slaps hardy. very good song.
