We all know that Miyagi wouldnt have killed him anyway - if it came down to it....and because Sato still had good in him (as we see in the end) - I would hedge by bets on him not dealing the 'final' blow to his old friend..
However..
thay had the same mentor....but Sato had had many more years of fighting practice than Miyagi (although Miyagi shows us that the best Karate is inside of us)
It would have been awesome to see....views anyone?

I would like to think that Miyagi would have won, because i think hes great. (sadly and very missed).
Like you said Sato had good in him though, but he probably wouldnt have been more aggressive than Miyagi would have been.
