Seeing as the other thread seems to have degenerated into a Patrick Swayze discussion....
Featurette is nice, especially with the interviews of Zabka and Kove. Plus there's alot of camcorder footage- mostly of shots from a daytime rehearsal of the beach fight. Zabka discusses how the Cobra Kai's all bonded on the set and got into their characters. There's one shot from a camcorder where it looks like a shoving match between the other Cobra Kai's and Freddy's crew on the beach might have been part of the script at one point.
The Pat Johson featurette where he discusses the training regimen was interesting. Some shots of the Cobra Kai's training together. I think you see Jimmy with Bobby in an armlock. He talked about how he worked with Macchio and Zabka after all the other guys went home. Also mentioned how he didn't allow anyone to watch him train Kove (who never actually used Karate in I....), because he never wanted the kids to seem him as inexperienced. Zabka talked about how much Kove got into the Kreese character and the effect that had on everyone's performance.
The commentary was pretty good, but they seemed to joke around a bit too much. Especially Kamen and Avildsen, which is odd because in the featurette they discuss how much the movie meant to them. One pretty funny comment came when Daniel looked up and saw Miyagi had fixed his bike, and either RK or JA stated 'now what we should have done here was have him throw the bike into the pool.' As has been mentioned, they did seem to make some mistakes (such as the apartment building being gone and nobody remembering that Miyagi's office was a converted parking space) One thing that they mentioned was that the interior of the LaRusso apartment was the only set that they used in the movie. But again, they seemed to miss some stuff, so they might have been wrong about that. Some other things of note, Macchio still has the yellow convertible (nobody knew he had it), and he got drilled in the mouth for real by the first or second kick Johnny threw at him in the fence scene and they had to end filming for the day. Can't think of anything else right now....
Couple things which may be old news....
-On the front of the new DVD, on the tournament board, it looks like Vidal's name is next to the Cobra Kai logo, and Johnny's name is next to Daniel's logo. Anyone notice this?
-The deletion of the 'You live in a world of rude people' scene when Daniel rejects Ali's apology after the country club really causes a continuity problem with the film. He sees her kiss Johnny, gets laughed at, then goes to the arcade to apologize to her? And she's mad at him? Never made much sense.
