I want to know why there was never any real intimacy with ali? No bumpngrind even on the dance floor at the Halloween party. I mean the guy had on a shower for cryin out loud. They could have made out and no one would have known.

Agreed... :))

If you're talking about having sex, Daniel wasn't ready for sex yet or really any heavy making out. And I think as for the Halloween dance, if he had been ready for making out, he'd be too embarrassed to do it out there in the school dance floor even covered with a shower curtain. I don't think Danny's ready to have sex until he's at least 23 & back in Newark.

What about that scene in Karate Kid 3 where Daniel meets the babe in the pottery shop and she's working that clay on the potters wheel. Is it just me or is that a bit saucey?

It's a cute scene. They do show a close-up of Jessica's hands & I think Daniel's admiring how talented she is with shaping the pottery.

Also in KK1 they have a nice scene in front of the water slides, where they make up, after fighting.

That was also a sweet scene. I think Dan hated having Ali mad at him & was relieved when they made up.

yeah that scene in kk3 with the potters wheel is as near as its gonna get to Daniel getting his end away...he's got all the charm but he just doesn't finish off the job. aaaah..the innocent 80's..kids don't want to see that kind of innocent stuff these days...after the first 5 mins its straight down to hiding the salami...actually wasn't that a scene in Porky's?

Hey, does it ever occur to you that not all guys instantly want sex all the time or even have sex on their minds? Daniel wasn't ready for sex until his mid-twenties.

what are you on about. all men want sex whether they actively pursue it or not from about the age of 14. It is called "the survival of the species". Getting some action..now that is a different matter. Looks like Daniel was a bit short in that department. I'm sure a few lessons from Johnny or Mr Silver went have straightened him out.

Urrp. You seem to know a very limited range of men. And a lot of women enjoy sex too & "get" sex. Sex is something both men & women can "get."

venice..i don't know if you have some issues here...i never said a word about women "getting" or not getting sex, in fact they are on a par with men as far as I am concerned , especially these days. It may have escaped your attention but as i happen to be a man with a majority of male friends, with 11 years experience trying to "get" some, I think I can speak with soem authority on the subject. I can say without fear of contradiction that my "stats" would compare favorably to Daniel if his Karate Kid years are anythin to go by. I will let him have the benefit of the doubt especially as he was young and a fictional character forced into unfulfillling relationships by some twee scripwriters. I bet he regrets turning down Bikini School 3, now.

Glad you see that females have sex drives too. So...are you talking about Daniel LaRusso or Ralph Macchio?
Posted by yazdanid (Member # 1223) on :
i was talikng about the fictional Daniel La Russo.. Ralph has been so secretive that its hard 2 get any gossip about him. I think he is happily married but ..hey who knows what he was like as a teenager.
Posted by Venice (Member # 555) on :
I don't blame Ralph for being "secretive." Yeah, he's married now & has two kids. And Daniel's happily married now (in my story I'm writing about Daniel) and has a baby. He'll also have another one in a few years.

You seem a little tense Yazdanid, perhaps you need some "relaxation"....

The movie wasn't about making out or more in the first place. It was about a young kid trying to fit in. He just moved to town and he doesn't want to be there so it's gonna be a little difficult to make out with a girl who's former boyfriend wants to kick Daniel's butt. I think the writers wanted to convey a certain innocense with Daniel and Ali because they were more than just sweethearts they were friends. She was helping him fit in and find out who he was and what he wanted to be. Just my two cents...:)
