Portfolio is a nice docudrama about the fashion world in the early 80s. The story follows 6 Elite studio models and their life in New York, Paris and Rome.
Starring strikingly beautiful girls Julie Wolfe, Carol Alt, Kelly Emberg, Paulina Porizkova, Patty Owen and Carrie Nygren.

It goes without saying that you can see great 80s fashion, clothes, haircuts and so on. Hot dance class scenes, photo shoots, partying and break dance. Rock Steady Crew performs at one of the parties and Andy Warhol is watching.
The soundtrack is huge. Sylvester Levay composed the original music. You can also hear these artists and tunes:

Atomik this looks really awesome! I'm one of those crazy girls that likes watching T&A flicks haha but because this is a legitimate "docudrama" I can't label it that! Remember the Sports Illustrated swimsuit specials on HBO? not sure if that was just a 90's thing or started in the 80's? I really like watching them for the fashion. I need to look for this one........thanks Atomik

Porizkova was pretty convincing in her role in the Drive music video. I also loved her in 'Her Alibi'. Can’t say I know any of the other models.
Too bad Renee Simonsen isn’t starring in this. She was my favourite model from the 80’s. And she wouldn’t be a model if she didn’t dated some kind of male celeb – in this case Duran Duran’s John Taylor.

Wow, I didn't even know she did movies too. And than that title "Nothing underneath"... Hmmm... sounds very promising.

I have PORTFOLIO on VHS. It's in really good shape. Sure wish they would re-master on DVD someday and come out with THE LOOK also.

I was just thinking, have you ever seen the movie (The Look)? It´s 83 minutes long, just like Portfolio. Same director, same cast... i mean are we talking about the same movie (Portfolio = The look) here

Atomik I just found this for you....I loved watching this then...i'm straight everyone I promise!! it was just artistic and fun to watch the behind the scenes of a photo shoot and honestly ladies in bathing suits are pretty!
