" "Police Academy"-style comedy set in a military school.
Two errant high-school students are ordered by a judge to spend a year at a prestigious military academy,
where one of the cadets finds out who is responsible for a spate of midnight thefts." (IMDb)

Just watched Combat High aka Combat Academy.
It was a pretty decent flick directed by Neal Israel (Bachelor Party, Moving Violations)

I love the cast:

Keith Gordon (Christine, Back to School etc.) is a real prankster in this one
and none other than Bernie Kopell (the doctor from The Love Boat) is his father, Mr. Mendelsson.
Wallace Langham is Gordons nerdy partner in crime Perry Barnett.
George Clooney is Maj. Biff Woods and Robert Culp is his unrelenting father General Edward 'Ed' Woods.

Dana Hill (European Vacation) is Sgt. Andrea Pritchett (yes, really!)
and Tina Caspary (Can't Buy Me Love) is the lovely Mary Beth.
Crazy and funny Richard Moll is Col. Felix Long Sr. and Marc Price (Trick or Treat) is his son Felix Long, Jr.

Lots of practical jokes and great cast in this one.
And you can hear Twisted Sister tune "Be Chrool To Your Scuel" during the opening credits.
Check it out if you haven´t seen it!

It seems as if this movie is close to being forgotten. Not a single reply thus far ??

I've seen this one when it was first released on video here in '87 or '88, and saw it again
in the early nineties when it aired on television here in Holland.. but after that, the
movie practically vanished with only a mediocre DVD-release turning up in the UK about a decade
ago.
Rather strange that no film company has released a decent version on DVD yet.

Yeah, it seems so and if there´s no R1 dvd release around, it´s quite understandable.
